The Chaenomeles Japonica or Japanese quince flowers every spring with red-orange flowers. The first flowers can open early in the year.
This Japanese quince is approximately 10 years old. This tree is imported from Korea.
The tree can best be put in full sun. repotting is best done in (late) fall once in 2 years. Before the tree comes into bloom. The species does not require any special requirements with regard to soil or fertilization.
The species regularly makes new shoots from the root. To keep the tree in good shape, it must be removed.
