Acer buergerianum / trident maple

The Acer buergerianum is better known as the trident maple. A trident maple must be protected from frost in the winter. The young branches of the trident maple get nice old wood at a young age. The leaf of the trident maple is leathery. In the fall the leaf of the trident maple turns beautiful orange.

Care

This trident maple is not a complicated species. Only with frost the tree needs to be well protected. is approximately 12 years old.  The tree has a nice basis for a branch setting. The bonsai respond well to manure and grow well.
